See we all want that our PC should be safe from any second & third person while sharing it.

We all may have some personal files that we want to hide from others & Today I have given different ways by which you can hide your files.

Hide files & folders by using command prompt

Click on START button & open COMMAND prompt (type in search bar).

Type the command to navigate to the folder you want to hide & press ENTER.

[  cd C:UseradminDesktopFiles ]

Now type below command to hide the folder & press ENTER.

[ attrib +h “xyz” ]

In the above command replace “xyz” with the name of your folder or any file.

Hide files & folders by using File Explorer

Open File Explorer.

Go to the file or folder that you want to hide.

Now Right click the folder & click on properties.

On the general tab > under Attributes > check the Hidden option.

Click Apply.

Hide files & folders by using Disk Management Utility

Press Windows key +R  to open the Run dialog box, Then type diskmgmt.msc in the open box & click ok.

Now Right click on the drive you want to hide & select change Drive letter & Paths.

Select the drive letter, click Remove & then click OK.

And if the warning Dialog Box highlights click Yes to remove the drive letter.

Hide files & folders by using Usin third party software

Examples of softwares are, Easy file locker, Folder lock (it is very safe software), secret disk etc.
