Deactivating facebook account

1- Click account settings at the top right of any Facebook page.

2- Select Settings in menu.

3- Click on General in the left column.

4- Choose Manage your account & then scroll down to click Deactivate your account.

As your account has been deactivated, your profile can’t be visible on Facebook and people won’t be able to search for you. Some information, such as messages you sent to friends, may still be visible to others.

Keep in mind that even if you deactivate your Facebook account, your Messenger account will remain active. It means you can still chat with friends on Messenger, your profile picture will still be visible in your conversations, & people will still be able to search you by name to send you a message. If you want to come back to Facebook after you have deactivated your account, you can reactivate your account at any time by logging in with your email & password.
